Walnuts

Walnuts make for a very handsome, but substantial tree. Considered to some as an investment, the wood is used for furniture, veneer and gunstocks and a great legacy for children and grandchildren.

Walnuts are monoecious, with male and female flowers on the same tree. They are pollinated by wind so to get a good crop trees would have to be planted close to one another.
